I have been wearing gel bras since I was 16 and now I would never go back!!!!!I am a curvy size 12-14 but unfortunately thanks to genetics I never developed full breasts and although I have a voluptuous lower half my barely B cups never seemed to quite fit. I always felt completely out of proportion. I realised quite early on in my teens that I was never destined to be large busted and as I watched my friends and school-mates develop from girls into women I always felt inadequate. To add insult to injury one of my closest friends had a whopping 36G and when we were out partying, the men would just be in ore at her magnificent decolletage whereas I would just fade quietly into the background.
As I was approaching my late teens the media was really focusing on larger busted women. With the launch of 'Bravissimo' and other brands coming into the limelight such as Freya, all I appeared to see in magazines were ‘big is beautiful’ adverts and the spot light was on how the nations ladies are getting bigger busts. ‘Well how nice for them’ was my attitude! It was not all larger busted women in the press admitedly but those who had smaller busts were always a willowy size 8, unlike me. My confidence was hit hard and thoughts of breast enlargement surgery kept filling my mind. I really didn’t want to go through painful surgery to achieve the look that I wanted but it seemed to be one of the only options.
Thankfully when I was 16 I discovered Panache Atlantis gel bras and at the time they were very hard to come across and only came in a basic style in either black or white, so even then I couldn't wear pretty strapless tops or low back anything without my bra being glaringly obvious. I adored this bra and I wore it as much as I could. But I did worry about what would happen if the product was taken off the market.
In 2002 I discovered Maxcleavage.com and I really felt my prayers had been answered. I was able to buy a choice of all types of beautiful gel and liquid filled bras in a variation of fashionable and basic colours. It was perfect for me! Not only did they offer a wide range of bras they also sold silicone breast enhancers. Initially I was hesitant about them as they were not the most attractive of products but at 19 I took the plunge and bought my first set of “chicken fillets”. I can now, not only buy lovely bust boosting bras from Maxcleavage but I can also buy whatever bra I want to and then just insert my silicone friends. To add to this I discovered that I needed to buy bras in a cup size larger than my normal size so that they can accommodate for the enhancers, which was a great confidence boost for me and I started to adore shopping for lingerie, something that once seemed such a demoralising chore.
Now all I wear are gel filled bras and bust enhancing products which in comparison to breast surgery is a fraction of the price and there is not pain involved at all. The products are so versatile so that if one day I decide I do not want to have a large bust then I can. I have also found that I get much more attention from the opposite sex which is not because my bust is physically larger but because my confidence has soared. Even my 36G friend can’t keep up!
I would recommend gel bras and enhancers to anyone who is smaller busted as I feel like these products are a god send. I have much more confidence and I get so much choice. What more can a girl need!!!
